New York Woman Wins $60 Million in Medical Malpractice Lawsuit

Alison Hugh, 44, won a lawsuit in a jury trial against a physician that left her with a deformed vagina and "frequent urinary tract infections". The injuries were a result of a thigh lift that went wrong, performed by Dr. Ferdinand Ofodile. The lawsuit was based on Dr. Odofile's failure to warn of scarring and stretching of the vaginal area as common risks of the procedure.

Hugh decided to undergo the procedure after she lost a substantial amount of weight, resulting in loose skin in her thigh region.
